Job summary

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC is seeking a Nuclear Facility Operations Specialist II at the Nevada National Security Site to support CONOPS-based operations and facility management. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, safety, and complex procedure execution.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, plus the ability to read and follow detailed procedures, perform safety checks, and coordinate with project and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in field related to the position plus at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with requirements-based systems in nuclear material operations, facility operations, radiological facilities, high explosives operations, or chemical handling.
• Training or experience with high explosives handling or chemical handling is required.
• Knowledge of nuclear operations or DOE/Navy programs is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs/ISIs and system surveillances.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; MS Word/Excel/Outlook skills are desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist facility management with CONOPS culture development based on hazards.
• Develop skills with Conduct of Operations principles and procedures.
• Guide personnel on company policies and work processes.
• Apply independent judgment to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Support and coordinate operations and maintenance at Nuclear/high hazard facilities.
• Access facilities for readiness checks and operation of structures/systems.
• Perform system lineups per procedures and checklists.
• Support program activities and data collection (fissile material handling, chemicals, radiological).
• Ensure management is informed of events affecting health and safety.
