Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a Nuclear Facilities Engineering Manager 4 (Group Leader) to lead the Waste Facilities Engineering Group, guiding system engineers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving safety and reliability.

You will provide technical and administrative oversight, coordinate with DOE/NNSA, manage budgets, staffing, and strategic direction, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8+ years related nuclear facilities experience.
• Leadership and oversight of engineering staff and safety programs.
• Experience interfacing with DOE/NNSA, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of design, configuration management and COE processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Waste Facilities Engineering Group and set strategic direction.
• Ensure deliverables meet federal, state, and local regulations and safety standards.
• Forecast staffing, manage budgets, and oversee personnel actions.
• Provide technical and administrative oversight for nuclear facility design and operations.
