Job summary

Pow.bio is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Engineer at their El Segundo HQ. The successful candidate will develop nuclear engineering solutions for the Kaleidos microreactor, including areas such as radiation shielding and reactor physics modeling. Responsibilities include ownership of nuclear design, conducting transient analysis, and clear communication with engineering teams. A bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering and relevant experience with radiation transport methods are required. The position offers substantial equity and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• 1-2+ years of nuclear engineering industry experience.
• Experience with radiation transport methods, including MCNP/OpenMC/Serpent.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Nuclear design and analysis including shielding and neutronics.
• Collect requirements and provide expertise to engineers in other areas.
• Run transient analysis for reactor dynamics.
