Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Contract Engineer with nuclear operations and human factors expertise for a 1-year assignment. This remote position allows occasional site visits to Wilmington, NC and potential international travel.

Compensation is $90–$103 per hour, with a 40-hour workweek and benefits. The role requires knowledge of nuclear plant operations and regulatory processes, plus experience in writing procedures and validating human–system interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Reactor Operator (RO) license required.
• Minimum 5 years as a reactor operator and 2 years of human factors experience.
• Experience with design reviews, procedures, and NRC/INPO guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write clear technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for plant control and human-system interfaces.
• Review, test, and validate HFE using simulators and plant procedures.
• Develop acceptance criteria for pre-operational and startup tests.
• Deliver high-quality engineering documentation on time.
