The Nuclear Fuels Engineering (NFE) department is seeking passionate candidates about nuclear energy's role in a sustainable future. Job Description:
Fuel Mechanical Performance is part of the Nuclear Fuels Engineering Division (NFE), based at Duke Energy's General Office in Charlotte. The FMP group handles fuel mechanical and thermal analyses, plant support for nuclear fuel issues, and oversight of fuel fabrication and quality assurance.
This role requires motivated individuals capable of solving complex problems and supporting plant operations. Versatility and continuous learning are essential, as the position involves multiple roles within analysis and plant support, emphasizing teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
Group Responsibilities and Duties:
Note: Depending on qualifications, the position may be filled at a higher level within the hierarchy.
Basic / Required Qualifications:
Nuclear Engineer I: Entry-level solving problems with close supervision, developing skills for greater independence.
Nuclear Engineer II: Solves problems with variable supervision, working more independently as skills develop.
