Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks an undergraduate student to join the PT-3 Assembly and Welding Group, supporting the research, development, and manufacturing of plutonium-related components in a nuclear facility. Qualifications

• Minimum: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours (or full-time equivalent).
• Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
• Experience in research, design, analysis, verification, and validation demonstrating engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes.
• Assist in design, analysis, verification, validation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Assist in writing technical documents and presenting at internal/external meetings.
