Job summary
BWXT is seeking an Electronic Technician for on-site work in Lynchburg, Virginia. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment in a demanding environment, including radiological areas.
Expect to read schematics, work with PLCs, and document work in SAP PM while maintaining safety standards. Preferred candidates hold an associate degree in electronics or equivalent certification and have experience with 480 V systems.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or electrical certification is required.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and engineering instructions.
- Proven experience with electrical equipment up to 480 V, 3-phase; PLCs and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment, in confined spaces and with respirator protection.
- Operate cranes, hoists, power tools, and hand tools safely.
- Document daily activities in the SAP PM module.
- Follow procedures in radiological environments.
- Identify and repair faulty equipment with strong observation and troubleshooting skills.
- Collaborate with Planning to locate parts and schedule repairs.
- Adhere to safety rules and guidelines.
