Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technologist 3 in Tennessee to support the design and structural analysis of nuclear components and related parts. The role involves advanced calculations, report preparation, and ensuring conformance to contract specifications.

You will maintain knowledge of codes and standards, update component design criteria, and contribute to formal presentations for internal and customer audiences. A strong emphasis on quality and safety underpins daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum A.S. degree in a technical field plus 4 years of experience or 8 years of experience without the degree.
• Experience in technical industrial environments is required.
• Complete assignments in accordance with engineering procedures, practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs sophisticated calculations and work for the design and structural analysis of nuclear components and related parts, materials, and equipment.
• Prepares and reviews reports and evaluates content for conformance to contract specifications.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable code requirements and regulatory guides and standards.
• Maintains and updates standards for nuclear components and related equipment and supports design development.
• Prepares formal reports and studies for presentation within the Company and to customers.
