Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group offers internships for Electrical Engineering students. Interns gain real-world experience by joining a collaborative team on projects across grid modernization, renewables, and nuclear safety.

You will contribute to design reviews, safety analyses, and environmental assessments while developing practical skills. Eligible candidates are graduating in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering programs, with coursework in circuits, power systems, and control systems.

Qualifications

  • Graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET-accredited school in Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
  • Preferred Courses: Circuit Analysis, Power Systems, and Control Systems.
  • Solid working foundation with major's core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering teams on energy and nuclear projects during internship.
  • Assist with field walkdowns and on-site assessments at client sites.
  • Contribute to project documentation, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions and recommendations.
