Job summary

APTIM is seeking an Operations Manager to support nuclear decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) projects at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kesselring Site, West Milton, NY. You will plan and manage work, lead a multi-disciplinary team, and develop project plans, procedures, and work control packages to meet the contract PWS.

This role requires implementing the Earned Value Management System, monitoring budgets and schedules, coordinating with DOE, KAPL and NR, and ensuring safety and

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Environmental Remediation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience on environmental remediation projects involving radiological and/or hazardous materials.
  • Experience supervising multi-discipline operations teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Experience in developing technical documents (manuals, procedures, etc.).
  • Experience at Federal facilities with knowledge of ES&H, QA, Conduct of Operations and work control.
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain DOE Level L Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout of project activities.
  • Manage resources, trained personnel, procedures/work packages, PPE, equipment and materials to meet the schedule.
  • Coordinate with procurement to obtain subcontracts, materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise field and support personnel; communicate status to PM.
  • Interface daily with project management, safety, quality, and operations personnel.
