Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Nuclear and CWMD Analyst in Alexandria, VA. You will evaluate and mitigate emergent nuclear and WMD risks, leading cross-functional groups and translating complex capabilities into actionable plans and training solutions.

The ideal candidate has nuclear operations and CBRNE experience, modeling skills, strong communication, and an active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. This is an on-site role with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of DoW/CBRNE experience, or 12+ years substituting degree.
• Military experience in strategic or theater nuclear operations.
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI clearance.
• Willingness to learn modeling techniques and tools.
• Strong communication and MS Office proficiency.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead working groups to integrate deterrence and CWMD capabilities.
• Translate event environments into information requirements for leaders.
• Integrate nuclear effects with AI/ML to assess mission impacts.
• Collaborate with analysts, planners, and technologists to align objectives.
• Evaluate deterrence and WMD environments to identify gaps.
• Develop training materials and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate testing and validation of capabilities.
• Monitor performance and gather user feedback for improvements.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
