Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineering Expert to coordinate civil/structural design harmonization for Polish compliance, aligning with U.S.-based nuclear design. You will lead evaluation of structural calculations and documentation with EU norms and IAEA standards.

The role requires a Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, Polish Civil Construction Licence, and 10+ years in structural design oversight.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Civil Construction Licence (uprawnienia budowlane, projektowe).
Minimum 10 years of structural design or engineering oversight.
Familiarity with Polish Civil Construction Law, seismic/building codes, and EN Eurocode series.
Experience on at least one large power or industrial project in Poland in the last 10 years.
Fluent in Polish and English; nuclear experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering partners and subcontractors to adapt U.S.-based designs to Polish requirements.
Review and support development of structural calculations, analysis models, and compliance documents.
Support derogation documentation related to structural design elements.
Maintain alignment with EU norms and IAEA siting standards.
Interface with local design partners, customers, and authorities on permits and licensing.
