Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Civil - Staff Engineering Technician for Nuclear Power. The role involves supporting project teams across nuclear generation projects, creating site development plans, and using CAD/BIM tools to produce engineering deliverables.

Under supervision, you will contribute to design development and document control, collaborating with engineers to ensure compliance with codes and BV standards. Hybrid work options may be available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Completion of pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks, drug screening, and DMV records where applicable.
• As this position supports the global nuclear program, citizenship requirements per 10 CFR 810 may apply.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Applies engineering principles to create and modify design concepts and deliverables.
• Uses CAD/BIM/3D tools to produce and maintain technical drawings and project outputs.
• May provide guidance to other professionals and technicians to ensure quality across outputs.
