Job summary

Finezi Inc. is seeking an experienced procurement and category management professional for a 6-month assignment in the San Luis Obispo area.

You will work on-site at DCPP Avila Beach weekly, with a hybrid schedule, and potential to convert to full-time employment depending on performance and business needs. Requirements include 10 years in procurement or related field, experience in strategic sourcing, and strong contract negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in procurement.
Master's degree in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent.
ISM CPSM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops strategic category plans to optimize cost savings, service excellence, diversity spend and total cost of ownership for the categories.
Leads cross-functional sourcing teams through strategic sourcing processes and negotiation strategies for mid-complexity spend.
Negotiates major contracts and manages supplier relationships to drive ongoing value.
Maintains awareness of industry and market trends through ongoing research.
Acts as subject matter expert for particular commodities or services.
