If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting AWSE Union opportunity for a Nuclear Analysis Technician located at your headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:


Assist engineers and other higher classified personnel in technical functions related to the generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information.



Work Procedures and Responsibilities:


This section outlines the typical major duties, but does not exclude the performance of other related duties or discussions on pay rates.


  • This position involves engineering work requiring a high level of manipulative or specialized skills gained through experience, technical training, and application in the field.

  • Support engineering tasks that require specific skills acquired through training and experience.

  • Assist in analyzing, summarizing, and preparing data into written or graphic formats, including calculations with basic algebra and trigonometry.

  • Review computer program inputs using input sheets or check programs.

  • Help prepare and modify computer inputs based on data analysis.

  • Assist in modifying existing non-complex computer programs.

  • Catalog and maintain computer input/output files, notes, and records.

  • Run data analysis and plotting programs on existing computer systems.

  • The Technician may support other engineering activities within their group, providing opportunities for skill development and knowledge growth.

Education Requirements:


  • Associate Degree in a technical curriculum is required.

  • Must have:

    • Two courses in Math
    • Two courses in Physics

OR


  • 60 college credits in an engineering curriculum, with:

  • Two courses in Math
  • Two courses in Physics

Experience Requirements:


No amount of experience can substitute for the required education. Recognized technical programs, such as Naval Nuclear or other military programs, may substitute for formal education.
