Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Nuclear Analysis Technician C to assist engineers in generating, assembling, and verifying nuclear analysis information. The role reports to the Manager, RVI Load Development & Analysis and is based at the Cranberry, PA facility with hybrid work options.

Typical responsibilities include data preparation, analysis, and documentation, reviewing input data, and supporting program modifications.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with an Associates degree or 60 college credits in an Engineering curriculum; physics and math courses required.
• Explain work assignments to other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and graphic form using basic algebra and trigonometry.
• Review computer input using input sheets or check programs.
• Prepare computer input alterations based on initial data analysis.
• Modify existing non-complex computer programs.
• Catalog and maintain input/output files and calculation notes; run data analysis and plotting programs.

As a Nuclear Analysis Technician C you will assist engineers and other higher classified personnel in technical type functions related to the generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information.

You will report to the Manager, RVI Load Development & Analysis, Reactor Component Engineering and be located at the Cranberry, PA facility and work in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and graphic form requiring calculations involving the use of basic algebraic formulae and trigonometric functions.
• Review computer program input using computer input sheets or specific check programs.
• Help prepare computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
• Support the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
• Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.Run data analysis and computer plotting programs using existing computer systems.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent plus Associates degree or 60 college credits in an Engineering curriculum. The college curriculum must include 2 courses in each of the following: physics and math.
• Explain work assignments to other personnel.
