Job summary

GE Vernova invites motivated students to join the Nuclear Operations team as a Nuclear Lean, AI & Operations Intern for a 10-week program in Wilmington, NC. You will lead a digital transformation project, automate KPI/MOR processes, and explore AI-enabled workflows under cross-functional leadership.

You will gain hands-on exposure to Lean, digital transformation, analytics and AI, with opportunities to apply practical solutions across Nuclear Operations and leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergrad or graduate degree in engineering, analytics, CS or related field.
• Hands-on experience with AI, Generative AI and AI-enabled workflows.
• Working knowledge of MS 365 tools and Smartsheet.
• Foundational data analysis, process improvement, automation or digital solutions.
• Innovative, continuous-improvement mindset and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 10-week Lean, digital transformation project for KPI/MOR processes.
• Analyze end-to-end KPI workflow, reduce manual work and improve data quality.
• Develop and pilot automation for KPI collection, consolidation and MOR prep.
• Prototype AI/automation use cases to boost productivity and reporting.
• Measure impact and create standard work and a roadmap for AI opportunities.
