Job summary
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine seeks a Pulmonology or Infectious Diseases physician with specialized expertise in non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) to join our faculty at UT Health East Texas facilities. The position emphasizes clinical care, research, and education in a nationally recognized NTM center.
The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis and management of NTM diseases, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead program development, mentor trainees,
Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Critical Care or Infectious Diseases.
- Demonstrated clinical experience managing NTM diseases.
- Strong track record in NTM research with publications or funding.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and management of patients with NTM diseases, including pulmonary and extrapulmonary infections.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Lead development of specialized NTM clinical programs and patient care protocols.
- Support research, mentorship, and education of trainees.
- Engage with patient advocacy groups and public health initiatives.
