Job description

cFocus Software seeks a NTIRA Software Developer/Programmer Senior to join our program supporting the US Navy. This position is remote and requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

1. Active Secret clearance
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering.
3. 10+ years of experience in software development support in web-based, cloud environments, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom web applications.
4. Knowledge and application of technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, Java, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Python, .NET MVC, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE, NetBeans, Apache Tomcat, IIS, and XML, along with process documentation.
5. Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
6. Experience with version control using Atlassian Bitbucket or similar Git repositories.
7. Experience using Atlassian Jira or similar project tracking software.
8. Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management tools.
9. Active DoD IAT II certification.

Duties:

1. Research, design, and develop software or utility programs.
2. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
3. Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
4. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Reviews, Planning, Design, and Demonstration meetings.
5. Write properly documented code with meaningful variable names and functions, following best coding practices.
6. Maintain version control of coding changes in the program repository.
7. Collaborate with testers to ensure thorough testing before deployment.
8. Track and document work in Jira or other issue tracking software.
9. For CAS development, utilize software for database design analysis, source code control, database comparison and merging, and building database management systems.
