Job description

Chitra Productions seeks a highly qualified Air Defense / Counter-UAS (C-UAS) Training (Level 2) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide direct professional services and instructional support to Army Rotational Training Units (RTU). Working as an integral member of the Joint ISR (JISR) Training Team, you will ensure that the T2COM G-2 Operational Environment (OE) is realistically replicated through the lens of air defense.

As the Air Defense SME, your primary mission is to train and mentor Soldiers and leaders on the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) required to detect, identify, and defeat Group 1-3 UAS threats within a Large Scale Combat Operations Chitra (LSCO) framework. You will transition high-level intelligence insights into tangible field training, helping units bridge the gap between emerging technology and maneuver-based battlefield execution. Candidates should possess recent real-world operational experience in contested, high-intensity theaters, such as Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) deployments to EUCOM and Indo-PACOM region, or experience managing mobile air defense umbrellas in support of major combat operations.

By providing "over-the-shoulder" coaching and formal feedback rooted in these high-tempo operational realities, you enable Army forces to out-think and out-maneuver peer adversaries in a contested multi-domain environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & OPERATIONAL TEMPO:
  • Job Type: Full-time | Exemption Type: Exempt
  • Location: Remote / Satellite (Reporting to T2COM G-2 & Fort Irwin, CA).
  • Travel: Significant travel required (60-70%) to CONUS, OCONUS, and unit Home Stations as requested by the Government.
  • Physical Capability: Candidates must be physically capable of walking up to 5 miles with a 35lb rucksack/backpack in rigorous field conditions, austere terrain, and extreme weather.
  • Mission Readiness:
  • Must possess (or be able to obtain) a U.S. Tourist Passport and Official Government Passport for international support requirements.
  • Must posses a valid U.S. issued drivers license and be able to operate a Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) as well as an equivalent Government provided Tactical Vehicle (training will be provided if hired, at the on-site location).
SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Operational Credibility: Leverage experience as a former Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer, Coach / Trainer (OC/T) and proven Air Defense / C-UAS operational experience from high-tempo LSCO deployments (e.g., Operation Atlantic Resolve) to mentor training audiences.
  • Tactical Integration: Provide Air Defense / C-UAS integration, Airspace Deconfliction, and Tactical Kill Chain training at training programs, exercises, and NTC events.
  • Mentorship: Provide one-on-one coaching to 14-series Soldiers and ADA Officers on survivability and Electronic Protection (EP) in contested environments.
  • Validation: Provide training-related feedback during After Action Reviews (AAR), focusing on Detection, Tracking, Identification, and Defeat (DTID) metrics.
  • Seminar Delivery: Provide C-UAS Threat Seminars for Brigade Combat Teams (BCT), focusing on adversary UAS TTPs observed in modern high-intensity conflict.
  • Staff Training: Train the Joint Engagement Sequence and sensor-to-shooter data link procedures during mission command training and rotation-specific events.
  • Leadership Development: Instruct Leadership Training Program (LTP) classes on integrating organic ADA assets into the maneuver commander’s scheme of maneuver.
  • JETT Support: Supports the Joint Engagement Training Team (JETT), delivering one-week, intensive home-station training events prior to NTC rotations; this includes specializing in Pre-CTC readiness, system initialization, and the synchronization of tactical sensor-to-shooter employment.
  • OE Enhancement: Provide venue and programmatic feedback to improve Joint Air Defense context, enhancing the realism of the T2COM G-2 Operational Environment.
  • Reporting: Provide training reports and observation data to T2COM G-2.
  • Direct Support: Provide support to T2COM G-2 as needed or directed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have seven (7) to ten (10) years of specialized experience with the following:

  • Emergent C-UAS Technologies: Working knowledge of the Transformation in Contact (TiC) initiative, specifically the rapid integration of Mobile and Fixed-Site C-UAS Integrated Defeat Systems and their tactical employment within maneuver units.
  • Digitized C2 Systems: Mastery of Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control (FAAD C2) architecture and its role in the synchronization of the joint air-picture.
  • Kill Chain Effector Management: Demonstrated ability to mentor units on the selection and employment of Kinetic (Hard-Kill) and Non-Kinetic (Soft-Kill/Electronic Warfare) effectors to mitigate Group 1-3 UAS threats.
  • Contested Environment Survivability: Proven ability to instruct on Electronic Protection (EP), Emission Control (EMCON), and signature management to ensure unit survivability against peer-level electronic surveillance.
  • Staff Integration & MDMP: Experience contributing to the Joint Engagement Sequence and the synchronization of ADA assets within the maneuver commander's scheme of maneuver.
  • Instructional Delivery: Demonstrated capability in delivering technical seminars and providing "over-the-shoulder" coaching to Brigade Combat Team (BCT) to Division (DIV) leadership and 14-series operators.
  • NTC/CTC Evaluation: Familiarity with Combat Training Center (CTC) evaluation criteria, specifically regarding Detection, Tracking, Identification, and Defeat (DTID) metrics.
