Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes seeks an Automotive Alignment Technician to join our York-area service center. You will align tires and wheels and perform related maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe and perform well.

You should have at least 18 years old, be legally eligible to work in the United States, and ideally bring 1 year of tire service experience. A state inspection license is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with on-the-job training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 1 year of experience and/or training in mounting, balancing and tire service or equivalent experience.
• State inspection license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using modern equipment, adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform state-mmandated inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs and related automotive services.
• Ensure vehicles travel straight and true after alignment work.
• Assist with other automotive maintenance tasks as needed.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend and lift items over 50 pounds regularly.

NTB is proud to join the Mavis Tire Family. We're looking for a full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the York, PA area.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
• possessing a state inspection license is preferred

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
