Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for a center in the Virginia Beach, VA area. Technicians will align tires and wheels, measure and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, and perform inspections, oil changes and tire repairs to ensure safe, straight travel.

Eligible candidates should have at least 1 year of tire service experience or training, be 18+, and authorized to work in the U.S. A state inspection license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using the latest equipment to measure caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs.
• Complete other required automotive services to customer vehicles.

We're looking for a full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Virginia Beach, VA area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
