Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis in the Richmond, VA area. You will use state-of-the-art equipment to align tires, measure caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, and ensure safe, straight travel.

Responsibilities include completing state inspections, oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and other automotive services. We value reliability and physical stamina; candidates must be at least 18, legally eligible to

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• 1 year of experience or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or equivalent education/training.
• State inspection license is preferred.

• Perform routine maintenance and services such as oil and filter changes and tire rotations as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds as required.

We're looking for a full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Richmond, VA area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
