Job summary

RTX's Naval Power SBU seeks a Finance Lead for the NSMS SM-6 programs to manage the PFFT portfolio. You will supervise 2-3 analysts, ensure EVMS compliance, and drive monthly EAC/LRE processes.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, coordination of financial planning, and delivering insights to IPT members and engineering, supply chain, and operations. A DoD DoS security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree in related field with 5+ years experience.
  • Experience with government Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using EVM tools (PMX, SAP, PRISM, or Program Metrics).
  • Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.

The Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) SM-6 team is seeking an M4 Finance Lead to support the Performance, Field, Flight & Test (PFFT) portfolio of programs within the Shipboard Missiles SSBU under the Naval Power SBU. The position supports financial activities for a mixture of unclassified and classified programs, including monthly Earned Value reporting, financial variance analysis, Estimates at Completion (EAC), Latest Revised Estimates (LRE), and monthly forecasting.

What You Will Do
  • Lead a team of 2-3 analysts.
  • Support program teams with external Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and requirements.
  • Compile monthly Earned Value reports for Program Management Coordinate with functional organizations during the Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) processes.
  • Monitor program financial performance and analyze variances to plan.
  • Coordinate financial planning activities for the assigned program area, including RPLAN updates.
  • Analyze and communicate program performance impacts to Bookings, Sales, Earnings, and Cash (BSEC).
  • Perform monthly data reconciliation.
  • Serve as the financial point of contact for Program Management and functional partners.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to IPT members and non-finance organizations, including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Analyze program data and prepare trend analyses using Microsoft Excel.
  • Attend program meetings and review Earned Value Management data.
  • Coordinate standard financial processes and resources across programs.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with government Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using EVM tools, such as PMX, SAP, PRISM, or Program Metrics.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting, including pivot tables, pivot charts, formulas, data analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word to prepare financial reports, program documentation, and written deliverables.
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare financial presentations, program briefings, and management review materials.
  • Experience managing financial deliverables with established deadlines.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience performing financial forecasting and program financial analysis.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial briefings to management, customers, or peers.
  • Experience using SAP EV, ForProject, PMX, PRISM, or AO.
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management data in a classified environment.
  • Experience preparing external Earned Value reports for customers.
  • Experience managing financial activities across multiple program priorities.
  • Experience communicating financial and program information to stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Experience preparing written financial or program documentation.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
