Job summary

System One, Inc. seeks experienced Nuclear Quality Assurance Lead Auditors and Auditors to support restart of a nuclear plant in Middletown, PA. The role covers planning, leading, and performing audits under DOE and NQA-1 requirements, with emphasis on QA program evaluation and corrective actions.

Responsibilities include developing audit plans, conducting meetings with suppliers and client representatives, and ensuring timely closure of findings. Per diem is provided; no overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting nuclear quality assurance audits to applicable standards.
• Ability to lead audit teams and develop audit plans, schedules and checklists.
• Familiar with NQA-1, DOE requirements and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and perform nuclear QA audits per DOE and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as Lead Auditor for internal and external audits, ensuring QA compliance.
• Develop audit plans, schedules, checklists, and assign audit tasks.
• Conduct opening/closing meetings with suppliers and client reps.
• Evaluate QA program implementation and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, findings, and corrective actions.
• Verify corrective actions and closure of audit findings timely.
• Interface with project teams, management, suppliers, and regulators.
• Maintain audit documentation per program requirements.
• Travel to supplier facilities and project locations as needed.

Position Details

• Start Date: October 2026.
• Duration: June of 2027
• Per Diem: GSA Rate Per-Diem.
• No overtime
• Location: Middletown, Pennsylvania

Lead Auditor Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and perform nuclear quality assurance audits in accordance with DOE and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as Lead Auditor for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable QA programs and procedures.
• Develop audit plans, schedules, checklists, and assignments for audit team members.
• Conduct opening and closing meetings with suppliers and client representatives.
• Evaluate implementation of QA programs against governing standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, findings, observations, and corrective action recommendations.
• Verify corrective actions and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Interface with project teams, management, suppliers, and regulatory representatives during audit activities.
• Maintain audit documentation and records in accordance with program requirements.

Auditor Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of nuclear quality assurance audit teams.
• Perform assessments of supplier and contractor quality assurance programs and processes.
• Evaluate compliance with NQA-1, DOE requirements, regulatory requirements, and approved procedures.
• Conduct interviews, document reviews, and field verifications to assess implementation and effectiveness of quality programs.
• Document objective evidence, observations, and audit findings.
• Assist in preparation of audit reports and supporting documentation.
• Support verification of corrective actions and closure of audit findings.
• Maintain accurate audit records and documentation in accordance with program requirements.
• Travel to supplier facilities and project locations as required.
