Job summary

Advanced Energy in Vancouver, WA is seeking an NPI Test Technician to perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies for new product introductions and manufacturing support.

You will follow established test procedures, use schematics, document results, and maintain calibration and fixturing. Requires an AAS in electronics and at least 3 years' experience with electrical circuits and assemblies testing; compensation is $30–$38/hour plus a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Basic electro/mechanical assembly skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Soldering skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Follows safety, ISO standards, and quality practices.
• Knowledge of ESD practices.
• Strong math, reading and writing basics.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (Teams, Outlook, MS 365).

Responsibilities

• Performs various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Uses test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
• Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Documents test results accurately.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize nonconformities is required.
• Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
• May assist with training other AE employees in established processes.
• May act as the technical interface with other departments.
