Job summary
Solidigm Inc. in Rancho Cordova seeks a Mechanical Engineering professional focused on simulation and process development to enable scalable SSD designs and reliable manufacturing.
You will perform ANSYS/SolidWorks simulations, analyze stress and fatigue, and drive NPI, tooling, and rework techniques for high-volume production.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to translate results into robust, manufacturable solutions and risk mitigations.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced mechanical simulations using ANSYS, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools.
- Analyze stress, strain, deformation, fatigue, and failure in components and assemblies.
- Evaluate product performance under thermal, environmental, and operational conditions.
- Conduct simulations supporting SSD rework, disassembly, and structural integrity.
- Conduct simulation on semiconductor packaging and solder joint reliability.
- Develop simulation workflows to verify and validate design concepts.
- Translate simulation results into actionable design and process improvements.
