Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, quality, or a related technical field with at least 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years; or a PhD; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting both NPI or design-transfer activities and sustaining manufacturing quality in a product-development and production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex root cause and corrective-action efforts to effective, sustainable closure.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and product quality methods, including FMEA, control plans, verification and validation, Cpk/Cp, SPC, DOE, process data analysis, 8D, and DMAIC.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Quality lead for NPI programs from concept through production release and post-launch stabilization.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management to set quality objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Lead quality planning for NPI including DFMEA/PFMEA linkage, control plans, and measurement-system analysis.
• Participate in phase and gate reviews to assess product and process readiness and containment needs.
• Ensure customer requirements are translated into drawings, specs, supplier controls, and acceptance criteria.
• Support prototype and qualification builds by establishing data-collection plans and reviewing results.
• Coordinate evidence for design transfer and production release, including validation records and first-article results.
• Monitor early production quality indicators and drive containment and corrective actions as needed.
