Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS in Cartersville, GA is seeking an NPI Quality Engineer for Solar Simulator & Calibration to own the reference device system and ensure accurate, traceable power measurement across production lines worldwide.

You will manage the lifecycle of reference cells/modules from selection to deployment, operate solar simulators, analyze data with SPC, and drive calibration strategies with internal teams and external laboratories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or materials engineering.
• 3+ years in quality, metrology, calibration or test engineering roles.
• Understanding of PV cell/module electrical characteristics and I-V measurement principles.
• Strong data analysis skills, including SPC and correlation 분석.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the reference cell and reference module system, including selection criteria, build and verification processes, and the intended use and management rules for each reference tier.
• Plan new reference cells and modules in line with new products and technology changes (e.g., TOPCon, bifacial, tandem).
• Select reference cell and module candidates and perform initial evaluation of power performance and stability (I-V, EL).
• Determine reference values through accredited external laboratory measurements and internal cross-checks, and manage deployment to production sites.
• Maintain the reference cell/module database and lifecycle records for traceability.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain cell and module solar simulators and related I-V measurement systems.
• Collect and trend reference cell and module measurement data using SPC to detect anomalies and analyze long-term stability and degradation.
