Job summary
Saronic Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking a New Product Introduction Quality Engineer – Mechanical to lead quality activities across the NPI lifecycle and ensure robust quality plans and control strategies for scalable manufacturing.
The role emphasizes DFMEA/PFMEA, design reviews, and readiness assessments, with strong emphasis on AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance and GD&T reading skills. On-site position with competitive salary and benefits.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 3+ years in automotive, aerospace, defense, robotics, or complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, inspection planning, metrology.
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality activities throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain Quality plans aligned with program milestones.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 during product introduction.
- Participate in design reviews, gate reviews, FAI, ECNs, readiness assessments.
- Lead PFMEA/DFMEA activities and mitigate risks.
- Define/execute Product and Process Validation activities.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality on qualification and validation.
- Support MRB during NPI builds and early production.
