Job summary

Rotor Clip seeks an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead NPI quality activities and develop advanced quality plans for a high-mix manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to implement APQP, PPAP, and robust FMEA practices, ensuring Cp/Cpk targets are met and customer quality requirements are satisfied.

The role requires a mechanical/quality engineering background with 3+ years in IATF 16949/AS9100 environments, strong problem-solving, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering oriented role in a manufacturing setting with IATF 16949 or AS9100.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer a plus; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead APQP activities for new product introduction and engineering changes.
Develop and maintain Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and inspection standards.
Identify critical dimensions with customer input and define variables to control.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to mitigate quality risks.
Establish and validate Cp and Cpk for key operations including fabrication and assembly.
Drive FAI and PPAP documentation for new or modified parts.
Ensure products meet quality standards prior to shipment.
Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
Reduce customer complaints and verify effectiveness of actions.
Perform internal quality system audits and support CAPA projects.
Provide technical training on quality methods to technicians and operators.
