Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an NPI Leader for the Mossville, IL facility to drive new product introductions across generator ends, power generation, and related electromechanical operations.

This role requires leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and strong program management with a focus on cost, schedule, and stakeholder communication. The position emphasizes experience in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver advanced electrical products for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6 Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience or certification preferred.
• Strong design and/or performance engineering knowledge related to generator ends, generator sets, power generation, large rotating electrics, electric motors, or engine manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with businesses, sales, marketing, and platform groups to manage resources for each deliverable.
• Oversee project progress and costs; communicate status with stakeholders and participating functions; resolve problems.
• Influence project staffing; motivate and develop project team members.
• Communicate with customers and manage expectations; ensure effective use of project controls and reporting mechanisms.
