Smith+ Nephew in Austin, TX is seeking a Procurement New Product Introduction Leader to drive cross-functional procurement for new product development from concept to commercialization.

You will partner with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure on-time, on-budget launches, manage supplier qualifications, quotations, negotiations, and use data-driven sourcing with SAP/Ariba.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Experience across multiple complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with SAP/Ariba or comparable eSourcing systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead procurement activities for new product introductions on cross-functional teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers early in development for launches.
• Manage supplier quotations, negotiations, project execution, and relationships.
• Coordinate sourcing decisions using data-driven approaches.
• Monitor costs during product development and report risks/opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
• Drive procurement launch activities within SAP and schedule prototype material delivery.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks and develop a reliable supplier network.
• Support successful product transitions into production and operations.
