Join us in a rewarding career as an NPI Manufacturing Engineering Technician at nVent. In this position, you will participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from inception to production launch. By demonstrating the use of NPI tools to assess past failure modes and create new design and processing methods, you will collaborate closely with teams such as New Product Development, Operations, Program Managers, Product Managers, and Supply Chain to ensure the highest quality product launch and utmost customer satisfaction.

What you will experience in this position:
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings, support the development of project teams for internal requirements, verify layout data, assess process capacity, and meet customer-specific requirements.
  • Support new product launches and development by leading prototype builds that may have fast turnaround times from customers.
  • Successfully implement and validate new equipment, new processes, and recipe creation for new products.
  • Determine product complexity and build requirements to select appropriate manufacturing lines/processes.
  • Write initial work instructions for new products.
  • Recommend product and process improvements.
  • Participate in design and process failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Assess new product processes for safety impact.
You have:
  • Technical degree or Certification preferred.
  • 2+ years technical/engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including fixture design and basic manufacturing process expertise (forming, welding, assembly, testing, packaging). Participation in the FMEA process.
  • 3 years experience with engineering software and enterprise resource planning preferred.
  • Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to provide guidance for new and existing products.
  • Ability to network multi-functionally.
  • Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands of a manufacturing position.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
