Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. in Sunnyvale is seeking an NPI Engineering Technician to support the build, integration, test, and troubleshooting of early‑stage electromechanical assemblies through Alpha, Beta, clinical, and early production phases.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to execute builds and to identify hardware and process issues. The role focuses on developing manufacturing processes, fixtures, tooling, and documentation, plus hands‑on training to production

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and BOMs.
• Strong documentation and cross‑functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly, integration, bring-up, and testing of Alpha, Beta, clinical, and early production systems and electromechanical assemblies.
• Perform hands‑on troubleshooting and debugging using engineering documentation and tools.
• Identify issues and provide actionable feedback to engineering and cross‑functional teams.
• Assist with development of procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
