Job summary

Beta Technologies seeks a Buyer/Planner to join our New Product Introduction and Contracting team in Vermont. You will help ensure materials and services are available to support new product development and production, working with suppliers and internal teams to manage purchase orders and resolve supply issues.

The role requires organization, curiosity, and strong communication while learning procurement fundamentals in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience and/or training in procurement or supply chain.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and inventory management.
• Understanding of procurement principles and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders and bid requests.
• Track and update purchase orders based on timing, cost, or other changes.
• Communicate with vendors for price, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Review requisitions and proposals; negotiate contracts within budget and scope.
• Interface with all departments to resolve problems and issues.
• Track material shortages for work-orders and sub-assemblies; identify alternatives.
