Job summary
Crane Company seeks an NPD Team Lead in Cincinnati to drive technical product design and global NPD initiatives. You will transform customer insights into value propositions and manage project funnels using the NPD process.
You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with offshore design and site operations, and steer product handoffs and sustainment while advancing IP and optimization efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Operations Research, or related field.
- 4+ years performing design and development of highly engineered products.
- Experience with castings, forgings, conventional & advanced machining practices.
- 2+ years managing product development projects with cross-functional teams and using project management best practices.
- Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD and MRP/ERP software.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical product design and drive global NPD initiatives by transforming customer insights into value propositions.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between offshore design and site teams to industrialize concepts.
- Oversee product handoffs and sustainment by coordinating with site engineering & operations.
- Develop and execute rigorous testing plans, rapid lifecycle and reliability validations for multiple products.
- Lead engineering test labs and agile prototyping activities.
