Job summary

Phenomenex, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end NPD and value engineering initiatives for separations consumables. You will drive stage-gate execution, manage the integrated project plan, and coordinate R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Finance to align priorities and ensure timely delivery.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, PMO and is based in Torrance, CA as an on-site position, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 3+ years in project management, with at least one product development program
• Experience running stage‑gate/design control in regulated environments (ISO-based QMS)
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and MS Project; use of risk management methods to translate uncertainty into plans
• On-site attendance required for onboarding, meetings, workshops, and reviews

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver NPD and value engineering programs from concept to launch.
• Drive stage-gate/tollgate execution with clear deliverables and decision readiness.
• Build and manage a comprehensive project plan (schedule, critical path, resources).
• Establish governance and stakeholder alignment, coordinating external vendors/partners as needed.
• Own performance reporting and continuous improvement using DBS/structured problem solving.
