Job summary

KX Technologies LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our West Haven-based New Product Development team. You will lead engineering projects across new product development, cost reduction, and quality improvement for our water filtration products.

You will manage projects from concept through production, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply engineering analysis to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions that meet performance and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of project management experience on product development projects with cross-functional teams; preferably in water or a similar industry.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Data driven, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to learn new technology, processes, and systems quickly.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and project management platforms such as Monday.com.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and certifications relevant to the industry (e.g., NSF/ANSI) is a plus.
• CAD software experience (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects of minor to moderate complexity from concept through production.
• Manage prototype builds and coordinate validation with QA and labs.
• Support cross-functional teams through the stage-gate product development process.
• Solve engineering problems with structured problem-solving tools.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support certification testing and develop test methods of minor scope.
• Contribute to the product road map by understanding technologies and markets.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, drawings, phase gates, and production handoffs.
• Learn new technologies, processes, and systems quickly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
