Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$133,600.00 - $200,400.00 This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

Medical Device Experience

Specific medical device experience in the electrophysiology field. Previous clinical support or mapping experience is preferred. Proven track record to physician and KOL engagement. Single use device and capital product launch experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Formulates and reviews corporate short and long‑range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line, in order to define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience. Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements. Drive market analysis, segmentation and positioning development. Identify unmet customer needs and commercial opportunities. Develops product user needs and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle. Leads voice‑of‑customer (VOC) and voice‑of‑business (VOB) activities to guide the product user needs at each stage of product development partnering with all markets, and convert insights into clear product requirements. Works with other functions to finalize product specifications. Work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Sales, Clinical, and Medical Affairs to ensure alignment on product definition and development. Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues. Constructively garners input and challenges assumptions with Global counterparts to refine product decisions. Positively represents the company by visiting accounts and users to solicit feedback on company products and services. Consolidates and disseminates a deep understanding of the competitive global EP Ablation landscape by region. Supports regional training of marketing and sales teams. Develop and leverage marketing insights to simplify segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool creation, and execution to meet business objectives. Network with colleagues in other divisions and cross‑functional departments to align strategies and opportunities. Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.

Minimum Requirements

Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience).

Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, clinical or related Healthcare/Biomedical field
  • 5+ years of work experience in marketing, strategy, business, and/or sales operations
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in product management in a commercial medical device setting
  • Excellent Project Management skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Must have ability to drive communications strategies and influence stakeholders
  • Proven Business Acumen
  • Experience defining and utilizing a broad range of secondary research, primary qualitative and primary quantitative research techniques to identify and address customer insights into clinical data
  • Ability to create and sustain relationship development/collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders, Marketing, Clinical, R&D, Health Economics, and Sales
  • Clinical and/or product marketing experience
  • Experience with market and revenue modeling
  • Outstanding customer service skills, both internal and external to the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self‑starter that anticipates and has a desire to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders without direct authority
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20% (including international) in support of tradeshows, internal meetings and customer programs as required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
  • Advanced degrees including MS, PhD or MBA
