Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Food Science Analyst to join our New Product Development team.

You will support formulation, testing, and commercialization of innovative fruit and fresh-cut products, collaborating with QA, production, procurement, marketing, and food safety teams. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in product development or QA, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in food/beverage product development or QA.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Microbiology.
• Strong knowledge of food processing and packaging technologies.
• Experience with HACCP, GMPs, FDA/USDA regs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• NPD formulations and iterative testing to optimize ingredients for shelf-life and sensorial objectives.
• Conduct sensory and shelf-life testing to assess product quality and microbial stability.
• Research and analyze market products; reverse-engineer competitor formulations for opportunities.
• Coordinate with production to ensure scalable, efficient processes.
• Prepare prototypes and mock-ups for internal evaluations and sales presentations.
• Document testing results and present findings to stakeholders.
