Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an NPD/DTV Engineer to develop refrigerated merchandisers and drive cost reductions across existing product lines. You will lead value engineering initiatives, design concepts in CAD, and simulate performance to validate improvements.

You will collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing engineering, manage projects end-to-end, and conduct field tests to ensure robust solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required with 1–3 years in industrial product design.
• Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Six Sigma and Lean tools experience a plus or working knowledge.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost on existing products and new designs.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering on cost-saving projects.
• Manage the DTV project from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross-functional communication.
• Develop CAD solid models and perform engineering simulations of proposed concepts.
• Coordinate with Product Management to validate solutions with customers and stakeholders.
• Develop a test plan and work with the Engineering Lab to validate solutions; conduct field tests as needed.
• Manage multiple projects and demonstrate problem-solving across complex scenarios.
