Job summary

The Children's Guild in Baltimore seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead behavioral support for students with complex needs in a therapeutic school setting. You will design and oversee behavior support systems, conduct FBAs, develop BIPs, and guide classroom-based ABA strategies.

Join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, partner with families, supervise RBTs, collect data, and ensure meaningful progress through PBIS-aligned practices.

Qualifications

  • BCBA certification in good standing (preferred)
  • Maryland licensure as a behavior analyst (LCBA) or eligibility to obtain (required)
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience providing ABA services to children with autism or emotional disabilities
  • Strong experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs
  • Knowledge of PBIS and trauma-informed care in school settings
  • Experience training and coaching paraprofessionals or RBTs preferred
  • Excellent data collection, analysis, and documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and families
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

  • Maintain documentation including FBAs, BIPs, progress notes, and data summaries
  • Partner with families to extend strategies to home
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development

The Children's Guild is a nonprofit organization and affiliate of TranZed Alliance — one of the most experienced child-serving organizations in the Greater Baltimore/Washington region. Our Baltimore school serves students with emotional disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and other diverse learning needs in a trauma-informed, therapeutic setting.

Our interdisciplinary team includes special educators, therapists, social workers, school nurses, and clinicians

The Opportunity

As a Behavior Analyst, You Will Be a Key Clinical Leader Within Our Multidisciplinary Team — Designing And Overseeing Behavior Support Systems That Help Students Thrive In The Classroom And Beyond. You Will

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Oversee implementation of ABA-based strategies across classroom and school settings
  • Provide direct behavioral support, consultation, and coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals
  • Collect, analyze, and use behavioral data to drive decision-making and measure outcomes
  • Collaborate with the IEP team to ensure behavioral goals are meaningful, measurable, and integrated into each student's plan
  • Support crisis prevention and intervention in alignment with the school's PBIS framework
  • Train and supervise RBTs and behavioral support staff as applicable
  • Maintain accurate documentation including FBAs, BIPs, progress notes, and data summaries
  • Partner with families to extend behavioral strategies to the home environment
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide PBIS initiatives
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing (preferred)
