Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to assess and manage diverse patient populations, providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and developing comprehensive plans of care. The NP may also precept learners as part of the role.

Education required is a Master’s in Nursing with an Advanced Practice RN license in MA and a minimum of two years of NP experience. Position is onsite at 100 Blossom Street with per diem, rotating shifts, in the United States of America.

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license MA.
• 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops plans of care and follow-up based on findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions per policies.
• Maintains high-quality documentation (admission, progress, operative, discharge).
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
