Job description

ChristianaCare is looking for a Pediatric Hospitalist APC to join our Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) program and provide family-centered and evidence-based care to ChristianaCare’s neonates in the Delivery Room, Well-Baby Unit, rounding coverage, and consults at Union Hospital. Our mission is twofold: to provide exceptional care for children, and to provide an exceptional work environment for our faculty and staff.

Program Highlights:

  • New leadership team with a focus on purpose-driven multidisciplinary work, transparent communication, and both support and growth of departmental divisions.
  • Clinical opportunities: serving patients in multiple settings, including delivery room, well-baby unit and consults.
  • Educational opportunities: resident teaching (Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Family Medicine) and medical student (Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University) teaching.
  • Career development opportunities: quality & safety, departmental and institutional committee involvement, leadership education, formal mentorship.
  • Collaborative opportunities: level III NICU, ambulatory pediatrics network, Pediatric Emergency Medicine team, and both in-house and external sub-specialty consultants.
  • Educational resources include: Neonatology & Pediatrics Grand Rounds, multidisciplinary SIMs, a medical library, and a 9000 sq ft SIM Center for skills training.
  • Flexibility. Part-time applicants welcome. Additional compensation for nocturnist work.
