Job summary

Oscar Medical Group is hiring a fluent Spanish-speaking Nurse Practitioner to join our remote Virtual Health Assessment team in a part-time capacity. The role supports Oscar Health Insurance members with evaluation and management visits from a home office, with potential cross-training into Virtual Urgent Care.

Minimum 15 hours per month, four-to-eight hour shifts, EST, Mon–Thu or Fri–Sat, with occasional travel for meetings. The pay range is $65–$75 per hour, fully remote nationwide.

Qualifications

• Board certification by AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
• Compact RN for NP practice in relevant states.
• Experience with clinical documentation improvement and HEDIS measures.
• Ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
• Bilingual or non-bilingual licensure requirements noted for specific states.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative care screenings and health coaching via virtual visits.
• Reconcile medications, diagnose conditions and provide treatment as appropriate.
• Outreach and engage members with higher chronic illness burden.
• Identify gaps in access to care and connect members with licensed providers.
• Cross-train into urgent care and virtual primary care service lines.
• Interact with members virtually and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role:

Oscar Medical Group runs a Virtual Health Assessment (VHA) program that outreaches and virtually engages Oscar Health Insurance members in an evaluation and management visit. You may also be cross-trained to help support teams across Oscar Medical Group, including Virtual Urgent Care.

You will report into the Director, Virtual Health Assessment.

Hours:

In a 1099 role, a minimum of 15 hours is required per month. The schedule is four, six or eight hour shifts which fall between the hours of 8a-8p EST Monday - Thursday, or between the hours of 8a-6p EST Friday & Saturday. There is only one Saturday shift required per quarter.

Work Location:

This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas; or Virginia. While your daily work will be completed from your home office, occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events. #LI-Remote

Pay Transparency:

The hourly rate for this role is $65-75 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative care screenings, complete medication reconciliation, diagnose medical conditions and provide health coaching, referrals and treatment when clinically appropriate.
• Outreach members who are more chronically ill based on historical and suspected health information.
• Engage members who have a lower probability of seeing their PCP.
• Identify areas in the member's medical journey that can be improved by increasing their access to care with a licensed provider.
• Cross-train into urgent care and/or virtual primary care service line
• Interact with members virtually, including virtual assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
• Compact RN (NP only)
• Experience with Clinical Documentation Improvement and/or managing HEDIS quality measures
• Non-bilingual NP: Licensed in Georgia and one of the following states: Florida, Texas, or Ohio
• Bilingual NP: Licensed in Florida
• Ability to obtain licensure in additional states
• 3+ years experience in outpatient Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care
