Job summary

Asante in Medford, Oregon seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative care team. The PA/NP operates under medical authority through a care agreement with physicians and surgeons, handling histories, exams, and treatment plans while coordinating routine diagnostics.

Minimum 1 year of relevant setting experience is required, along with AMA-approved PA/NP education and current licensure.

Qualifications

• 1 year in primary care, emergency room, surgery or occupational medicine settings required.
• Graduation from an accredited PA/NP program approved by AMA is required.
• PA-C/NP licensure with state board and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and records patient's history, performs physical examinations and formulates treatment plans.
• Manages patient care in- and out-patient by coordinating diagnostic procedures and writing orders.
• Takes call with physician and assists surgeon in the operating room.
• Assists the team with additional duties in the office as needed.
• Triages patient calls and follows up postoperatively.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program approved by AMA

PA-C: NCCPA certification and Oregon OBME licensure

NP licensure by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)

RN licensure by Oregon State Board of Nursing

BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA)
