Job summary

Essentia Health’s Gateway Internal Medicine team seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time, 1.0 FTE role in Bismarck. The position features 8a-5p weekdays, about 36 patient contacts per week, and 100% clinical work with phone-call only coverage cadence.

Eligible candidates will hold NP PA credentials with state licensure, CPR certification, and successful Essentia credentialing. A collaborative care model with physicians and nurses supports comprehensive, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in NP or Bachelor’s/Master’s in PA program from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the appropriate state (if NP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the appropriate state.
• Current CPR certification.
• National certification in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides health care to individuals and families with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Care for adults across the age spectrum in a busy internal medicine setting.
• Maintains high-level customer service with patients and co-workers.
