Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for a contract role in Winchester, VA. The position runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm, with a focus on preventive and urgent care services under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of ambulatory care experience, an active PA license, and national certification. The role involves patient exams, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, and collaboration with a healthcare team.

Qualifications

Three years of clinical NP experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or ED.
Active, unrestricted PA license in the state of practice.
All NP licenses/certificates to practice.
State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable).
Federal DEA license (state-specific).
State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license as required by state law.
Current national certification (ANCC or AANP).
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) if degree certificate does not say Nursing.
CPR certification with hands-on evaluation; covers BLS/ACLS and meets AHA standards.

Responsibilities

Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within physician guidelines.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems.
Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis with home-care instructions.
Collaborates with Physician and healthcare team to create comprehensive care plans.
Prescribes medications or therapies (e.g., physical therapy, inhalation therapy).
Refers patients to physicians or specialists as needed.
Maintains medical records using EMR software.
Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
