Optum AZ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Clinician Educator to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on developing and delivering training for employed clinicians to ensure high-quality care and ongoing professional development.

As part of the APC Educator team, you’ll lead sessions on value-based care, HEDIS measures, and HCC documentation, with 80% admin and 20% clinical work, supporting performance and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• National NP or PA certification with AZ license.
• Minimum 3 years in outpatient primary care.
• Experience with value-based care models.
• Current DEA and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert; train APC Quality Champions on HCC/HEDIS.
• Improve HCC coding accuracy through clinician education.
• Develop training on value-based care and HEDIS measures.
• Create and maintain educational materials for clinicians.
• Support monthly quality meetings with performance insights.
